The Power of Vitamin C or Ascorbic Acid
There are so many simple and available things, naturally, that is overwhelming, and what they can do for us and our pets, is even more overwhelming. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and powerhouse antioxidant. Aiding our bodies big time, in forming and maintaining our connective tissues, up to and including including blood vessels, bones, and skin
Vitamin C for our family, even though we eat super well, is always in our cabinet, and believe me it is used. It comes in flavors, and when when one of us start to feel under the weather, out it comes, and on top of our naturally consumed Vitamin C, the additional 500 mg chewable tablets, 2-4 1000-2000 mg on top of everything else we eat, generally accompanies home made chicken soup (which I will also share my recipe), kills the cold and flu dead. We have both chewable and the ones you drop in water for higher concentrate.
I will be 65 on my next birthday and of course (touch wood) take no medications, and treat everything naturally. Vitamin C is huge on the list of being healthy. Vitamin C is one of the most powerful immune system boosters and healers we have available and have had available for centuries. Oranges, lemons, limes and horseradish and power packed with it.
Cancer and other diseases hate Vitamin C, it is that simple, it is a warrior for the body! Even if you take too much, most people are never bothered, as it leaves the body through elimination, but some may experience diaherra or stomach upset, and many recommend even higher doses when very ill, and I always find it comfortable around 1000 mg for me as I am smaller, and my husband takes 2000 mg. At the onset of sniffles, it generally arrests the cold dead in its tracks.
You may want to read about Cancer and Vitamin C and the use of it intravenously, which is the direct injection into the vein.
The biggest concentration of Vitamin C is found in our citrus fruits, tomatoes, including tomato juice, and potatoes. There are many others but these are about the highest.
To keep it simple, because Vitamin C plays a huge role in our body, it certainly plays a role in aiding, preventing and treating cardiovascular disease, the cancers, macular degeneration occurring as we age, cataracts, and of course the big one the flu and common cold.
Take a moment, read a little about it, know it is safe and a friend to our body, and keep it around, and when you feel a little scratch throat, reach for help, you may be surprised just how easy it is to ward off and prevent.
You can read more if you research, as I try and keep my in information simple. This should be something everyone has in their medicine cabinets.
