Epsom Salts No Home Should Be Without Them
Been using Epsom salts since high school, and will never be without them in my home. Should be in everyone's home and on their list of things to get if not.
Magnesium sulfate is the chemical name for Epsom salts, and you can get it pretty much everywhere, in any store, pharmacy or grocery store. I also provide a link to it in amazon, as I do have an account there, for products I use and believe in myself only, to make it easier for people to find it, so you can also get it here. Looks like table salt, but not even close in its true makeup. It is making a comeback, as are, so many of the older amazing natural remedies. 1-2 cups in your bath, or 1/2 cup in foot soak is what I use, and I only use the plain Epsom salts not all the ones now infused with fragrances.
So run a bath a soak for a good 20 minutes. You will notice a huge difference in many things. It can be used internally for many things but please consult with a professional before taking internally.
What EPSOM does do? More like what does it not do!
How about blood pressure, bones, stress buster, the rhythm of the heart, relaxer, for starters. Interested?
Epson salts allow magnesium and sulfur mineral to enter your body through the pores of your skin, and both so crucial for well being. Both magnesium and sulfate help improve the body’s ability to and utilize and produce insulin.
Low magnesium levels affect many people and can be caused by so many things some of which are elevated calcium levels, alcoholism, severe diarrhea, malnutrition or bad eating habits, and by simply soaking your feet or entire body in a bath containing Epsom salts, internal levels of magnesium can be increased naturally without taking any supplements.
Today in many cases, magnesium deficiencies also contribute to the increasing rates of osteoporosis and arthritis, heart disease and stroke, low energy or chronic fatigue syndrome, internal and digestive, disorders as well as mental illness and well being. Ions from the magnesium break apart from Epsom salt molecules and begin to relieve stress by promoting and producing serotonin and reducing the effects of adrenaline and stimulating enzymes necessary for nerve and muscle functions, and improving blood circulation and oxygenation. Additionally, lack of magnesium can increase the chances depression and anxiety. These salts also stimulate a liver detoxification process.
Sulfur increases your metabolism and greatly improves your blood circulation as it is absorbed into your skin, can help keep a check on inflammation of joints, pains and muscle tension. As an anti-inflammatory Epsom salts can be used to alleviate the soreness from sprains and bruises.
I make a skin exfoliator with Epsom salts and coconut oil and use it 3 days a week (which is another MUST for your home). Pets can benefit as well as us for all the same things.
A simple Epsom salt bath to alleviate tension headaches or soothe abdominal cramps, as well, tired and sore feet. I also love it for sunburn or itchy skin.
Just add two cups of salts to your warm bath water and soak away the aches and pains.
In the garden, magnesium sulfate may be used to fertilize your plants, green up your lawn, remove unwanted insect pests, and prevent slugs among other things, I use it in with my tomatoes.
As always I recommend you do a search on Epsom salts and come to your own conclusions, won't take much to realize, this will be in your medicine cabinet real soon.
As always, soulspirations - Vicky
